Does anyone know if 4.6 2v PI heads were put on any other cars, other than the 99-04 GT's and more importantly do they fit as easily as the PI Gt heads onto a 96-98 non-PI ?

I do believe 01+ crown vics have the same PI heads, and also some 4.6L F150 models. I am unsure of the years.

I am fairly sure they will swap over, but you will have to the appropriate parts. Contact Kevin (05stangkc), as he may be able to cross reference the needed parts and let you know and help you out as far as getting them.

What about the Expedition or Lincoln LS? The Lincoln has a 3.9 V8, but it may be the same heads.

 

Its probably a modular motor, but i'd be willing to bet alot is different as far as valve covers, intake and how other misc things bolt up.

Thanks so much for the help. I was really wondering about the F-150 cause there are probably alot more sitting in a junkyard than mustangs. Thus, I could get the heads cheaper.

Yep, Expedition is 4.6. I believe the Excursion, which is even bigger, has the 5.4

 

Some model expeditions did have a 5.4L.
