4.6 2v to 4v
Seeking info on a 2v to 4v head swap. Is it a strait swap. Do I need to swap harness and ECU as well. I live in Cali and smog regs are strict out here. So trying to mod a car is difficult. Cop around my area love to pop hoods. I'm interested in keeping my bottom end stock for now due to budget and I'd like to build just build the upper end and keep it N/A. I'll build bottom end when it's time for turbo set up. So far when I shop around for heads and cams they don't incorporate EGR. This is a must have in Cali. My stang won't pass visual nor emissions if it has EGR delete. To cut to the chase I'm looking to gain some HP but keep my car legal. Recommend me a good head and cam swap. Doesn't have to be 4v. Like I said I just want some more power and a good lopping idle

I'm not exactly certain on the electrical half but I know there will be some. You also have to get new timing chains and guides (I believe) and the front cover since you're doing a SOHC to DOHC.

And that's all. Just cams. I want to re do my whole top end. Heads, valves, springs, retainers, cams intake manifold and throttle body. And some larger injectors. My issue is with new heads I have to get a new intake manifold. After marker intakes don't have and EGR port. That's where I'm troubled. I don't wana just do a cam swap.
