2012 5.0 owner looking for a 99-04 to build

I always loved these model Stangs but had LS1 cars instead during this time period (99-04). Any recommendations and anything particular I should look for? Mods will be nos 125 dry shot, Cai, 410's , xpipe, and drag radials. Thanks

No limit really. But I do things on a budget or I'd build a Z06 if that makes sense. I previously built a 1993 notch back 347 with Nos , alum heads, lentech tranny , 31 spline 373s ,Dr's and a bit more of course. It went 10.80s with AC, PS and cruise control.. I put about 14k in that car. I'd like to do this a bit cheaper and 11s will be plenty fast.

I have a friend that had a 2000 vert with the NOS dry kit, 373s, xpipe, cai , Dr's that went mid 12s. It didn't make 400 rwhp on the gas. It didn't hook well when it was lowered and that hurt it at the track bad . I always thought that set up in a coupe would make an 11 second pass if it had eibach drag springs and not lowered. Of course the vert being heavier was another factor.

You'd probably be close to 11s with that setup. Probably run low 12s depending on the shot.

I believe that dry kit is 125. Are there any differences in the 99-04's? I can't remember.

If I was to get another 99-04 it would be a 03/04 Cobra.
If I was going N/A it would be another 03/04 Mach1.

No. They are the same motor wise. 03/04 got a different hood but the same otherwise.
