2004 GT Convertibles

It may sound like a strange question but hear me out. My last Mustang was a 1989 LX 5.0L coupe with a few mods like lowering springs and a 3.73 gear. My current Mustang is a 2005 GT coupe, mechanically stock. The differences between these two cars is incredible but having never driven any 'Stangs between these two generations, I'm not sure what to expect.
Why I ask is that I have been advertising my 05 GT locally for someone to take over my lease as I have been out of work for several months and figure it's time to take responsibility and let go of the new car. I was approached by a guy that has a 2004 GT convertible that will be coming off of lease in June but he's really interested in grabbing mine now and has offered to trade leases so he can have the car of his dreams and I'll have a car that will be going back to Ford in a few months. Financially, this makes sense plus I will have a cool Mustang to drive in the meantime. Win-win, right? Ford Credit would transfer the leases making neither one of us responsible for the cars that we would be giving up so there's no worry that he'd take my car and then default on it. If he did, it would be his problem, not mine.
Anyway, back to the original question. Would the last of the Fox-4s feel more like my old LX (fast and crude with go-cart reflexes?) or the new 05 (fast and refined with big-car feel)? To be honest, if it were more like the 5.0L, I'd be really excitied about it! The 05 is a wonderful car but it really is too big and too insulated to be a gee-whiz-fun ride.

I guess, does it really matter, though? If you'll be turning the car in anyway in just a few short months, if you don't like it then no harm, no foul, right?

True, but if I like it... well, you know I'll find a way to keep it!
BTW, the seller calls it a "2004 Bullitt Edition Convertible"... I assumed that it's a regular car with Bullitt wheels but was told it has some interior silver appliques around the shifter, power window switches, etc. Is this a rare package?
