So I ran in to an issuer today as I was replacing my third brake light. When I was removing the 10mm nuts that hold the light on instead of the nut coming off the entire screw just came off the light. Now I can’t figure out how to remove the nut because the screw keeps spinning. Any ideas?


This part was supposed to stay in the light.


This is the nut under the trunk lid that needs to come off so I can use it on my new light.

 

Depending on how tight the bolt is on. You could use a pair of vice grips to hold it while you unscrew the nut.
