What are some of your mileages and how are your cars holding up? I am just asking because I plan on making my GT a daily driver and would like to know what to expect down the road.

My brother had a 95 Cobra with very little problem and he eventually tallied upwards of 120,000 miles.

i've got 127k miles on the cobra and it still runs 13.3's.

Think about it this way, look at all the crown vic's and ford trucks running the 4.6. Look at how Taxi companys and police departments completely beat on these motors, yet they dont take them out of service till 75k+ miles. Thats gotta say something.

I have over 51,000 on my 2001 GT and no problems.

Its got at least 100 1/4 mi. passes on it, my daily driver.

IAC valve has been replaced, tires replaced, needs brakes soon, changed spark plugs last year, thats it.

I've got 76,000 miles on my 2001. I've had three ignition coils fail, but she runs like a champ now.

I unfortunately have 97,000 miles on my 99 GT... I bought it from someone who used the highway to travel from work everyday. When I bought it, one of the ingnition coils was gone, and I replaced it for $40.00 and it runs PERFECT now. Tranny/rear end/clutch/ and engine are all fine. It all depends on what type of miles the car has. 15,000 hard drag strip miles are a lot worse than 100K + highway miles.

Almost 90K miles. I have a ton of problems and I am the original owner, bought her with 4 miles. First, leaking (quarter pannel seams were not sealed properly with seam sealer at factory. even though ford amitted it, they would not pay for the water damage because car had 88K miles). Next, transmission. It slipps and leaks like crazy. Rear main seal is leaking. Engine. The engine also leaks a lot. Not even going to mess with that right now because it will cost me too much. By the way, I had my head gaskets replaced at 35K miles. I have more problems that I don't have time to list. I like my car but the build quality just isn't there. I am very disappointed. ANd I have taken really good care of my car and do not abuse it as it is my daily driver. Nevertheless, I am still going to keep my car and enjoy driving it. I will slowly address and fix the foregoing problems because my car is paid off and I intend on keeping it. THX
