I have a friend with a 2000 V-6 auto. He is having problems moving between P,D,R. He can get it into them still, but it is getting difficult. Any ideas?

 

When is the last time that he changed the transmission fluid?

 

Not sure, he has not had it for long. Sounds like a great place to start.

Makes me real glad several club members helped me get my Cobra .... first thing we did was flush and replace fluids ,filters, wires, and plugs as we could not verify when any of this had been done. Before that the extent of my auto mechanic skills was .... adding gas to the tank. If my cars needed anything else, we took them to the shop.
