gonna sound weird. check the trunk. theres a switch on the left side (at least on the 98 it is) called the inertia switch. It cuts fuel in case of an accident. check to make sure the red button is pushed down. if not then push it down. ive had it happen before and all i got was crank no start.
It that isnt it, then it will mostl ikely be the fuel pump

get a fuel pressure check gauge from autozone and check your pressure, or you can push the little check valve on the fuel rail and see if it spirts out any fuel.... or if it shoots out with any force. Best to check it with a gauge tho

I would think it would stay running with a vacum leak, not 100 % sure on that tho. Did it back fire at all? Did you check the check valve on the fuel rail for pressure?

My 06 had a bad vacuum leak which caused the RPMs to go so low it shut off...but it was a tube connected to my supercharger and it was faulty so it's probably not common...
