'02 stock Mach 1000 stereo systems..

I know the '02 Mustangs came with the Mach 1000 stereo system built in, but can anyone show me what it looks like if it came from the factory with it?

Some people have put the system into their cars as an aftermarket addition, but I'd like to see if Ford set it up differently with their stock cars.

I'm curious because when I bought my '02, the car title said that it was Salvage/Rebuilt, so I'm not sure if they replaced the speaker system entirely as it would come on a stock car.

What I'm noticing is that when people put the aftermarket Mach 1k system into their car trunk, it looks like this, but my car's trunk just looks like this

It has the mach door speakers next to the side view mirrors, and little things behind the backseat (visible from the rear view) that say Mach 1000. I don't have this, though. It has a JVC head unit (which kind of helps me out, since it seems the Mach one doesn't seem to come with something I can plug my ipod into)

Does anyone know where I could buy just the head unit that I linked, though?

If it has the 1000, then it'll look like the first picture you linked to. The Mach 460 also has the tweeters on the doors. I'd check ebay for the HU. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mustang-Mach...item4cfee92f37

the Mach 460 and the 1000 are the same, exept the 1000 has that rack of amps in the back that completely ruins any trunk space.

you dont want that stock head unit, as a matter of fact, the whole speaker system pretty well stinks compared to a good system. Invest in a good head unit, and it'll make a world of difference to start. Add in some speakers, then maybe an amp and you're good to go.

highly doubtful the whole system was replaced unless the car got some major water damage or something similar.

If you had that whole set up you could replace all amps and speakers and keep it in the factory set up defiantly don't want stock head unit it won't do much for any system
