LOL Sorry noob question. Just got my first mustang what is a SN95 stand for? What I know. My Ford Mustang 3.8 2002 falls in it. LOL

it is the chassis code or family code for that generation of mustang -- I don't think it stands for anything; it's just the name that Ford gave for that chassis or model/generation of car

like the 2005-2014 cars are referred to as S197 chassis/model/generation, 2015 and up are S550

S - Specialty/Sport/Small market, depending on who you ask, they all apply for the Mustang.
N - North America.
95 - The 95th project in Ford's numbering system for projects, at the time.

Ergo, SN95.

The S197 and S550 are the same S. The numbers are... well, it appears there's a sequence, and then there's not. Ford gonna do what Ford gonna do, y'know.
