this stinks really bad!! I was drivin down the road today and i was snowing wicked bad too. i went to get in the turming lane when the guy in front of me (a late 80's honda civic) got cut off by someone so he slammed on his brakes and i slid right in to him. now i have to deal with getting it fixed before anything else can happen to it. so for the most part today has been a VERY crappy day for me

Sorry about the accident man. Have you ever been in one before? The first time is the hardest.

Had my first last summer when I had my Focus. Idiot tried to make a left turn on a dime. I hit his right rear with my left front. Ripped the entire left side of the car off from the bumper to the driver door. Spun me off into a ditch and I had to crawl out my back window. My car needed 10,000 dollars in repairs because the morons at the insurance company wouldn't total it. Course I laughed when I traded it in for the Mustang and the dealer gave me 2000 over high Blue Book because "the car looks like new".

The first week is the toughest. Oh-and watch out-your insurance company WILL try to find you at fault because you were the one who hit the other guy even though it was his fault. They did to me-shafted me with my deductible, found me at fault, and then had the nerve to total the other (unlicensed) drivers junker and write him a check for 2000 because it needed 2000 in repairs but was an old POS hardly worth anything.

Accidents stink, insurance companies stink worse.

I hit a curb with my 87 because some slackers from Penn Dot (no offense to anyone who works for them) didn't clean up road stones at a construction site and I lost control. It felt like skating on ice and was $3300 damage Luckily the cop blamed it on penn dot and didn't write a reckless driving ticket (cause I wasn't) but my insurance still went up.

Did he get in trouble for being on his cell? I know a lot of police officers are cracking down on that in PA even though its not a law yet. If you're in an accident on your cell they'll automatically start looking at you first, which I think is good!

Well mine just got injured yesterday. Some idiot at our apartment complex painting lines must have bumped my car cause theres a small ding thats in the rear quarter panel that wasn't there in at 2:30 when my wife got home from work (she then picked me up from work early at 3 and the lines were painted and the ding was there) .

I had to fill out a police report and everything. The complex head of maintenance called me today and assured me that he didn't do it which is BS because there was no one else there to do it and we live with all old people. They damaged my old Mustang too when they plowed during the winter.

Luckily my insurance agent is great and she said she is going send them the bill anyway once I get an estimate.

Its a very small ding, more like a small crease so hopefully they'll be able to do paintless dent repair on it. I take it in tomorrow morning. Man is the complex gonna flip when they get that bill

If they keep this up my wife and I are going to look into a breach of contract and move out. The maintenance people never repair anything and they damage property.
