Frt turn signal doesn't blink....hep

So my right front parking/turn signal was out.
Simple fix...new bulb. bought a amber Sylvania 3157NA.

upon removal of the plug the wires came out of the socket area. Seems the wiring budle was snaked under the air snorkel making it too short to remove the headlight section without ripping out the wires.

rerouted the wiring...longer. Pushed the wires back in the socket plug.
Nothing. checked the wires were in the correct holes and going to the correct part of the bulb holder...black/ground....brown/minor....whitegreen/major...just like the left side.
Some wiggling of the wires...bulb works..

But Does NOT blink. Inside the blinker noise is fast denoting burnt out bulb. Its not its ON.

Is there something I'm missing?

Thank you for any help.

Mike

I believe the bulb is a dual filament type. One for park, one for turn. Sounds like you only have a connection on the one side. Get a volt meter and verify there is power going to the plug on both wires. Then sort out the plug as the wires only fit in one way.

Pete, I didn't know you were over here too.

Mike

I'll check the wires. So what if I find one not working....what then?
