Hi Guys ... nice thread !!

I ve got some of the problems "listed" here with my 2001 V6 5spd. My actual main concerns are the twisted seat belts and water in the tail lights.

Can anybody give me a hint on how to un-twist the drivers belt ? I dont have a clue how to open up the belt case yet ... pls write via email to mindphaser@dr-mustang.com !

Cheers, Frank

Oh, and have any of you guys ever had tranny problems, auto or 5-speed??
The T5 in mine takes a daily beating and keeps on going. The only problem I had was I put a Centerforce clutch in at about 36k because stock clutch was too light feeling and wasn't snappy enough and shortly after I had trouble shifting. I thought it was from rowing the gears so hard every day. Turns out that it was a bad clutch kit and I swapped for a SPEC stage III and reused the stock throwout bearing (the spec one was kinda cheapy) and I am very happy with the results. That thing grabs like crazy. Anyway after forcing the car in gear for about a year with the bad Centerforce pressure plate (which caused a lot of grinding) the transmission still runs like a champ.

2000 Mustang V6
5-speed
25,000 miles

Only problem so far was at about 20,000 miles theft system was activated, so I had to tow my Ford to Ford Dealer. It did cost me about $300.

I plan to drive Mustang for another year or so and then I'll get Lincoln Navigator. I'm graduationg from college next summer and about that time I'll get Navigator.

Okay - I'll play too. I have a '02 vert. The drivers side door handle panel is loose and I can pull it out to see all the door wiring. Despite bringing it in several times, I swear there is a louder than should be wind sound when the roof is up. Oh yea, it has leaked on several occassions, most recently in June via the door frame of all places.

And one last thing - my dealer stinks and gives me a hard time each and every time I bring it in. Fortunate for me, I can "jerk up" to any level.

But in the end I still love it. And I will get another one down the line - but from a different dealer.
