I bought the 6 Disc CD changer from ebay. Well the darn thing has a blown left channel and no bass what so ever. I want to get my money back for this unit, how do I do that? I will send the unit back to the seller, but I want my dog gone money back as friggin' fast as possible.

Is there some kind of gurantee through ebay or paypal for this? I just sent him a letter, so I hope you returns it...it wasn't a nice one at that

What do I do?

First, did you use the paypal buyer satisfaction? It is like 5% of cost. If not he is obligated to return your money unless there is a no return/all sales final clause in the auction.

It is notoriously difficult to get money back from ebay sellers unless they offer payment protection......Paypal won't cover you either. Unless you are big, and can get to where he lives for less than you paid for it, write it off to experience.....

I do not know where you get your luck from........you are having a bad time.......

No, you can tell the seller that you are unhappy and want your money back, plus if it is broken you can report fraud.

One big thing here, DONT, and I do mean don't go leaving negative feedback yet. But do go through paypal and tell them it was defective, I have had very good luck that way...Alot of people right away want to drop the negative feedback bomb, that will only hurt your case...Try to resolve it...and if he takes it back and refunds your money, give him good feedback still...becuase he did the right thing..and you aren't out the money...But hey that's just my feelings...

Did you buy a HU from a mustang? There are sometimes cheaper deals for ones out of other cars. I saw a no-reserve CD-6 from a Ranger for $26 about a week after you first asked if one would fit in your car!

I've sold stuff on ebay and I would give the money back in a heartbeat if I found out it didn't work. You want people to buy stuff from you again. If they don't, report them as others have said. Let us know if the person gives you a rough time. If they do, give us their ebay ID.

Well, here's a doozy for all of you:

I decided to buy another one (NR for only $99). This time, this one is from a Mustang with the 460. Got the HU today, plugged it in WOW, it worked perfectly (hardly no bass, but that was fine, b.c. I am getting subs anyway). So I go to put in a CD and it gives me a CD 'error message' when trying to load or eject any CD. It won't even let me put in my CD...WTF! I got jipped twice for apprx. 300$ and have nothing to show for it...wtf.

Go aftermarket and cut your losses.

Unless you know how to fix electronic devices, I'd say you're gonna get screwed going used.

buyer beware, always

What you could have done is subscribe to some local Mustang club, they have classifieds where members sell their goodies, you could have gotten one through them.

As for your ebay experience, I tend not to bid on items where the seller has little feedback... its tough out there

Did you pay with a credit card. Call them to issue a stop payment for the first item. Then if the issue gets resolved you can commence payment.
