Yes they do make a gt500 hood for new edges even in carbon fiber I think. Let me pull that up for you?

Personaly i'd go with a cowl hood or an 03-04 cobra hood

I think the 3.5" raised cowl hood would be a little more practical than the 5". I actually think the ram air hood is alright. It would look better on the black mustang if the hood pins were in the right place. I still prefer the cowl hood though.

I'll state it again..
IMHO if you are sporting a big hood you better have the engine to back it up or then you just look like a yahoo.

do what you want.

you want a high quality 2.5 hood. H.O. Fibertrends would be on my list. They where the OEM supplier to Ford for both the '95 Cobra R and '00 Cobra R for the hoods. They are very nice well built hoods and real nice looking IMHO . 2.5 cowl would get my vote.
