after driving it and looking at a few others i decided to buy it

drives great and stuff but i tried the cruise control and the check engine light came on, the cruise works its just now the check engine light wont go off

anyone have an idea if its something thats real quick and easy to fix or if i gotta go take them up on that warrenty so soon

btw i'll try to get some pictures, just need to find someone with a cam

 

Well, thats odd. Sounds like it might be a short. Not sure if problems with the Cruise cause that light to go on or not-if so you could have a problem with the cruise possibly.

I would say you should get it looked at asap (there have been instances with the Cruise going wild and causing acceleration).

Its one of those things: could be big thing or nothing.

i disconnected the battery for a bit and the light was off after that so i went to get my inspection sticker and the light came back on so i think the cruise control thing was just coincedence

the OBDII system or something wasn't ready to be tested so they had to give me a rejection sticker
the dealer reset the system before they sold it to me so i have to drive it a bit before it will be ready

but that isn't why the light came on
one of my friends that works at the place told me the EGR valve is what is making the engine light come on
since my car is still under factory warrenty i'm dropping it off tomorrow night and it will be ready by monday-tuesday

anyone had a similar issue?

 

i dont use my Cruise Control so i cant say ive had a similar problem. Congrats on the car though enjoy it

yes the cruise worked

 

I know that the fuel filler cap is what is causing my light to come on, but I haven't had the time to change it!
