Are you sure the antifreeze is at the proper level? If your fluids are not up to proper levels things might not work properly. If your car over heated it might have thrown a code that needs to be reset. Maybe disconnect the battery for a minute or two that should reset any thrown codes.

Thanks, I did not personally change out the radiator, had my mechanic friend,I'm hoping he didn't disconnect air to put radiator in,I'm out of town, but will be picking car up, what can I check for myself?as he won't be there,he said he put Freon in it,thinks I might have leak,I completely replaced the ac 6yrs ago,the car is in Florida,I've got to have ac! Help!

Not sure if it throws a code, but there is a sensor or something that will prevent it.

Glenn is correct, find out which sensor disables the AC when coolant is low, it could have gotten ruined by overheating or still be low.

I once had this problem, and it was a simple as the vacuum hoses not being tight or fully on. My old 95 once had a corroded hose and i replaced it, which fixed it. So if it isn't a sensor as the others posted, try that?
