As for how it sounds, it is awesome i've been to V6 mustang meets and when pull up everyone thinks that it is a V8. The engine was bored out so i think that is what gives it the deeper sound. it is pretty loud. i wish i could post sound cilp then i could let you hear it for your self but it wouldnt be the same you have to hear it in person.

Can you tell us how much power your Saleen puts out?

Honestly if they had one of those parked next to a GT of the same year I would take yours in a heartbeat Mark. I like the looks.

Now between that and my 99...... just kidding I'm partial to my GT because its mine Again, you have a very sweet ride Mark!

 

Im can't remember what it was bored out to but ill try and find the paper work and then post it later. pretty much right now the car is as how it came stock but with the package it came with suspenion upgrade, dual exhaust, header, saleen rims, strut tower brace, short throw shifter, and side strips, thats is all that i can think of. im the second owner so i dont know if the original owner took any thing off or what, he didnt know much about cars. im planning on installing a custom turbo from ATP turbo this summer

 

thanks for the compliments on my car, i dont know the power out put, saleen never really specifed it and the guy who i bought it from didnt know anything either. i plan on getting it dynoed in june so that i will be able to see the gains ill be getting from the turbo. so after i get the number ill post them so you can see them. it has a good amount of power i can keep up with a stock GT, im intrested to see how much it puts out too..

 

The reason i rebuilt the motor was because i took off the head to replace what i thought was a freeze plug leaking when it was really a cracked head. so i decide to relace both heads and from there i figured my car has over a hundred thousand on it and i have already taken half the engine apart i might as well just pull the whole thing out and rebuilt it so yeah ground the crank, cam, new rods and pistons, etc... worked out cause know i have a new motor in the car for the turbo

Guys today I hear from my Ford dealer that sales Saleens on side , the GM said late 06 Saleen will bring back V6 Sport because of the slow sales in Saleen Focus.

I hope his right about that.

Not this year but from Hearing is late 06, plus Steve Saleen is getting lot e-mails and letters frompeople who what the V6 Sport model in Saleen lineup, best thing is to write to Saleen tell we what Saleen V6 Sport back and tell him why we what it back.

does the fact that your cr is done by saleen increase insurance rates, wouldnt it be considered in the same performace range of a stock gt, if not higher?
