i own a 95 GT and bought a book recently on mustangs, one section which featured a history on saleen mustangs included a one year only (1994) production V6 saleen, called the V6 Sport, i was just wondering if anyone owned one, if you do post up some pictures, and let me know how the car sounds, im very curious!

I also have never heard of it. Brad Bowling's The Saleen Book makes no mention of it. I'll see if Brad knows anything about it.

i'd heard they talked about a V6 sport version. but it was going to cost almost as much as the regualr saleen so they dropped the option

There were very few made. They were not serialized. I have literature somewhere on them. I remember that the original Saleen Web designer Chris Hoff had one that was later made into a killer S-351 SR.

They were regular V6 cars that had the 17" Stern wheels from the 93 models, and some graphics, and an exhasut, but I don't think it was much beyond that.

well the book i originally found the information is standard catalog of Mustang 1964-2001 by brad bowling. in the saleen section it is pictured and does have a few paragraphs on it. appearace wise it does have the older saleen rims (from 92/93) and some side striping. it says that saleen created it as an entry level car in which insurace premiums would not be as high. it came with a 220hp supercharged 3.8L v6 and was to cost approx $22,000
in the production chart for the 1994 saleens it says that a total of 29 v6 sports were produced and sold "but were not considered part of the regular Saleen numbering scheme"
theres even a picture of the supercharged v6 engine
the car looks pretty intresting, i dont take this books information as bible but ive never seen anything else writeen about these cars, anywhere, so anyone with more info please enlighten me!

Is that Saleen stock? It could easily be factory V6 with bunch of mods. You know, Saleen Clone.
