2004 convertible top won’t fit correctly
I have an issue with the top on my 2004.the top just doesn’t seem to fit correctly, when putting it up,it doesn’t seem to go up in the header as much as it should, and it takes ALOT of effort to pull it up and over to pop in the holes where it should go.and also right above the windows, the metal brackets don’t seem to close enough.they don’t go flush and bow down more than they should.and the window will go over the side of the top a little bit instead of seating in the weather striping.

How long have you owned the car? Did you just purchase recently?
Has it been like this the entire time you have had it? Do you have any "history" on the top?
What do you know about the history of the car (wrecks, top replaced, things like that.)
I replaced the top on my 2006. I put a top down and up a lot, and after 14 years, it was getting ratty. When I had the new top put on, it was VERY tight. In fact, the installer recommended I keep the top up for a few weeks to let it stretch.
