How do I remove the arms of my windshield wipers? They're older than dirt, and really show it. They could use a painting, but I'd need to get them off first (and while I'm at it, I could replace the grill). Any ideas?

 

There should be a tab at the base of the wiper arm. If you take a screw driver and ease that tab away from the wiper arm you can pull up on the arm and it should come up right off the post. That tab is sping loaded and it should not take much to move it.
