first off: welcome to The Mustang Source
I just got my car back with a Spec stage 1 clutch (about 180 bucks from Central Flordia Motorsports) the pedal effort is no greater than a stock clutch but I can feel it grips much better. Haven't tried power shifting or anything, still breaking it in.

If your car is indeed stock (not stalk), you have the 10" clutch. If you want better, I highly suggest the King Cobra clutch kit ($165) and a 10.5" flywheel. It is all that you need to move up to a much better clutch. The pedal effort is much easier than stock. I have three (two now).
Also, you will want to inspect other items while you are there.
Clutch cable
Clutch fork
Clutch fork pivot ball
Rear main seal (go ahead and replace)
The clutch kit comes with a new throwout bearing and pilot bearing (not bushing). You will also be replacing the transmission fluid. Know that it is ATF for your non-World Class tranny. You will need almost three quarts. Do loosen the fill plug while you have the tranny out.
When putting the transmission back in, it will not go that last 1/2". Do NOT force it! Have someone press the clutch in (it will not fall out) and the tranny will fall right in.
Your four driveshaft bolts are 12-point 12mm. They will be *tight*. Mark the flange-to-pinion before taking it off so that you will orient it the same way. This will lessen the chance of picking up a vibration.
Any questions, just holler.
