new toys for the mustang arrived (pic)

My Maximum Motorsports lower control arms came in today as did my Walbro 190lph fuel pump. I think I'm gonna wait to install the control arms until I get lowering springs and upper control arms so I can install everything all at once.

MM sells Ford units with stiffer rubber bushings for the upper arms, I'm sure these will work well but does anyone have experience with any other brand of upper control arms? I'm not really interested in the fancy adjustable ones from steeda or anything like that.

Tell me what you think

Very nice. Picked up a used chrome strut tower brace yesterday from a friend for free. Also got a pair of valve covers that I'm going to paint from another friend . He'll get mine when I'm done.

Looks good. I've heard the Ford HD uppers work fine with the MM units. I still have my stock uppers with my MM adj. LCA, and have pulled a 1.77 60ft at the track.

a 1.77!! I'd be happy with anything lower than my current 60ft which is 2.03 and that was before the fiberglass hood, spec clutch and the flywheel so all these new things should up get sub-2.0 60 footers, especially when I try a harder launch.

I would have liked to get the adjustable arms so I could play around with them and jack the rear of the car up but I decided I wasn't that serious about racing to want to play with that stuff and spend the extra money.

Looks like I made a mistake. I checked my 12.9 timeslip today and I pulled a 1.87 not 1.77. I thought I had pulled into the 1.7x's, but can't find a slip to concur. Sorry for the mistake.

We'll see what happens this season!

I also ordered the FRPP uppers but from 5.0 Resto (about 15 bucks cheaper than MM). They should get here tomorrow, so all I need now is some springs and I'll be ready to install. I'm probably gonna get some Bilstein shocks/struts soon also.
