I am currently swapping out a Edelbrock Performer intake on my 85 GT, for a Edelbrock RPM. I am running Edelbrock Performer heads. I noticed after I pulled the Performer intake that the RPM doesn't have a water jacket, or runner/passage at the rear of the intake, just in the front. If I install the RPM I will be blocking off the water passage between the heads in the rear of the motor. I noticed most aftermarket intakes don't have this water passage. Same with GM. Am I asking for trouble? (Overheating, blown heads gaskets?) Let me hear your opinions.

Most intakes don't have water passages at the back...even the factory Ford EFI intakes don't have them. Nothing to worry about
