tire questions

i need some rims to mount my slicks on. i am not gonna use them very often. i want the slicks to be on there own rims, so when i get to the track i can switch them out. i would really hate to drop big money on some rims that are barely gonna get used.

the slicks i have are 15x27x10 hoosiers. i am thinking i need a back spacing of around 5.5 -6.5" ?
does anyone with a foxbody run this exact size tires? if so what does it take to fit.

so i would need a 15x8 minumum up to a 15x10 rim with the best backspacing.

i have checked around pretty extensivley for a cheap set of rims from summit, jegs, american muscle. but i havent had any luck finding something cheap. does anyone know of some rim goldmine somewhere that has good prices. i am even willing to use some plain black steel wheel.

thanx in advance.

Check weld wheels. Thought the ultralites were always pretty cheap.

im having a little trouble finding them. there seems to be lots of different style ultralites. but im gonna keep looking. if you come across any other cheap rims let me know. like i said i dont care what they look like. il even take used if i have to. they are probably only gonna be used one day. then i will proabably get booted off the track for no cage. lol d@mn vert

Yeah that's a little out of the price range. Maybe I will see if I can find anything at the boneyard. probably not but if I can at least find an 8" wide rim I maybe able to make it work.
