i have a 88gt 5speed. when i start off my shifter is hard to put into 2nd or when i downshift from 4th-3rd sometimes its fine. could it be a bent shifter or shiftfork, if i put in a new shiftfork and short throw shifter would my problems be gone, anyone have any advice

 

I'd say your 2nd to 3rd syncros are getting bad..possibly 3-4 also
