I had two of these 82 gt's . One was a t top. Both cars fun but just didn't have power.Wish I didn't let speed be only judge. But enjoyed my 83,90 and 91. Do want another nice clean notch.

that one on ebay was looking good, just drop in a 5.0 and u would be set, it would need to be updated from the 79 specs though.

its 408w actually, i dont like the 427 stroker, but a 427 motor as in the old Shelby Cobra would be nice. the 5.0 is still such a fantastic driving expierence, plus it is lighter than that stroked 351W|

nah, you see Russ is my uncle and he was looking at a 79 notch that had a V6 in it but had a immaculate body.

EDIT: hate to go off topic in my own topic, but does anyone know where one can procure a repo 82 GT front end? as in, if one were to try and emulate the look of an 82 GT on say, an 89 LX 5.0? just wondering, as i can only find 83 and up bumper covers at most mustang specialty sites...
[/quote]

the front should bolt right up. the only problem will be the trim in the middle of the car. all the trim is pretty much obsolete. and the trim is different on the 82 and 89.

I used to have an 88 GT with t-tops in high school and college. I loved that card, guess I will always be fond of them becasue of that. A good friend of mine had an 82 coupe with t-tops at the same time. So it is memories more than anything I guess...

82-84 GT's are one of the Mustangs I hope to own one of by the time I die.
Preferably a 84 silver T-topped coupe. Love those things, I was about 13/14 when they came out.

Very nice....even better in black I am a little partial though!
We had a black on black 82 GT, I was still in high school, and loved to drive that car, it wasnt all that fast, but performed very well considering there really werent any real performance cars being produced then, btw ours wound up around a tel pole, such a shame !
