removing headrest??

removing headrest??

I have a 91 vert and want to change headrests anyone on this forum take out their's out or have seen it done any info would be great

I took the ones out on my 05. Besides the side button on the right side of the headrest there is a pin hole clip on the left side. You need a paper clip to push into the pin hole to unlock the headrest while pushing on the side button at the same time and pull up at the same time. Hope this helps.

To remove them, there's this little tab up inside the seat that you have to pry loose with a screwdriver or something. Then you have to pull up really hard on the headrest. Here's a link that might help: http://www.musclemustangfastfords.co.../headrest.html

They are not the same as S197s, I found this at Stangnet quite a while back as this question is asked there at least once a week;
