rebuilding the t5

The tranny is stock and I'm guessing it's never been out of my 89. I've noticed the syncronizers are worn, so later on, in the fall, I'm thinking of rebuilding it. What about a zt5 rebuild kit ? Was'nt that basically the 93 Cobra's innards ?

Can you buy a zt5 kit from someone like Hanlon, or should I just go the regular kit? FR has a 94 piece kit, but I don't know if it includes syncros. I've noticed that some of the kits don't have the syncronizers included. I've also read about the blocker rings not being coated in some of these kits. Can someone shed some light on this, and maybe suggest a good rebuild kit? Thanks!

Call Hanlon....you'll likely talk to Linda(Bob's wife). She is extremely knowledgeable about these transmissions! They will steer you in the right direction and have a kit and even a do it yourself video available. I buy from them on a regular basis.
