rattling

Finally, finally, finally- put in new motor mounts into my 88 LX. However now I am getting a rattling type noise when I accelerate. It does not happen when I am in N or P, so it not related to the motor. With all the moving of the motor up and down (the first mount was a pain to put in for some reason), something behind the motor may have gotten out of whack. It seems to be most noticeable of a sound in 1st. I cannot hear it once it shifts into 2nd, 3rd or OD (its an AOD) or even Reverse, only 1st. Maybe I just cant hear it, but I only notice it in 1st. A few guesses I might make are torque converter, maybe U-joints. Wondering if anyone else has any guesses as to what it may be. The sound is like a rattling. One other thing of note- I guess since it has had old motor mounts for as long as I have owned it- the motor appears to be a little higher and the back of the engine seems a lot closer to the firewall. Again this is for my 88 LX 5.0 with AOD. Thanks ahead of time.

Rattling in a fox? That was standard equipment from the factory.

AH-ha- found the source! My fan was unbalanced AND slapping up against the fan shroud. this would also explain its really unfriendly shakiness at high RPM.
