I have an 89 gt convertible and my quarter window are down and i cant get them back up what do i need to do and replace to get them back to original functionality and able to go up and fown the motor works you can hear it but they dont move

 

Sounds like your Regulator Gear is stripped. Had the same issue on my 89 LX Sport Conv. Bought the replacement gear kits from Amazon and installed. You will have to make a minor mod to the plastic gear if it is the same ones I receieved.

I was thinking it might be the window rollers

 

You gotta tear it down to see what's happening. It could still be a bad motor. Those old motors have rubber internal bushings that deteriorate. The motor could be spinning but not the gear. Gonna have to have it apart before you oder parts for it.
