Press photo of first Mustang convertible after 10 years

I just bought this (plus one other) photo which apparently came with the original press kit in 1983 - thought I'd share it with you.

Take care,

A.G.

Yes, that is EXACTLY how I feel about memorabilia like this.

I was 16 when the '83 Mustang came out - never thought of buying this car then, but I've come to know better in the meantime

Great stuff! Just wondering wether that's an '83 or '84 convertible. Is the colour of the headlight frames a clear differentiator between model years? The ones on my '83 convertible are black while those on the "volleyball" ad are colour keyed to the car.

It seems to me that this might be an '84 feature - I remember the headlight frames of the '84 GT-350 anniversary model to be colour keyed as well.

...found yet another one:

This has the same wire wheel covers that my own GLX V6 convertible originally came with - very cool to now have the official press photo.

Mine looked just like that but with t-tops when I bought it. Even had the wheel covers. Looks a bit different now though.
