Potentially Bad Motor Mounts?

Hey guys,

Since, I don't get to drive my '91 GT often, before I fire the engine, I pull the coil wire and "prime" the motor by cranking the key for 15 seconds to get the oil pressure up and then fire it up.

While doing so, I noticed a vibration of sorts or very light shaking, while going through this process.

Is this a sign of loose or broken motor mounts (stock)?

I do have vibrations emitted through the steering wheel/dashboard when driving at certain speeds and still can't figure out where it's coming from. To date, I've had the wheels re-straighten/balanced, hub centric rings added, new struts, cc plates, alloy rack bushings, MM steering shaft added to this vehicle.

Thanks in advance!

Check the harmonic balancer... just one idea and process of elimination... also have someone switch the car from reverse to first or drive see if the engines kicks to the side it probly the mount

Good idea...I need to see if the engine is twisting/moving under load. With only 59k miles I highly doubt it's the balancer.

Thanks!

Its not so much the mileage as it is how old they are...the mount are rubber so they dry out, rot, and crack over time causing them to become loose and sloppy. But like I said just one idea...lemme know how they look so we can throw some other ideas out there
