Possible to clean moroso air filter?
My fox (wifes fox) came with a moroso air intake system. I was wondering if there was a way to manually clean the moroso air filter maybe with an air compressor? My wife said her old friend used to soak the filter in something then let it air dry for a couple days. Also would a K&N filter fit on the moroso intake? Here is a pic of the system plus a pic of what looks to be a really really dirty filter (assuming the thing is supposed to be red or white  )
I really can't afford the $50 price for a new air filter so any help on this would be appreciated

the instructions that came with my K&N said NEVER use compressed air as it will blow holes in the cotton filter. Just about every parts store sells the K&N recharger kit which contains cleaning solution and oil to re-oil the filter. Thats probably exactly what you need and they cost about 10 bucks.

yea I went ahead and took the chance with the K&N recharger kit. I haven't had any probs so I guess it worked ok.
Regarding the filter, it says moroso on the top of it but have only found one site that sells them. I'm not even sure if moroso even makes these things anymore. Not sure why the previous owner opted for the moroso intake over the K&N but it's all that I have to work with.
the filter in the picture of your first post looks like the same size and shape as MAC's and UPR's air filters so I would say as long as the diameter of the intake tube is the same diameter as the hole on the filter you should be alright going with other brands.
