is it the oil pump or distributor ?

I installed in my fox a pro billet distributor for my 302 carburated h/o 5.0 and I changed the stock oil pump for a high volume oil pump. Now my distributor will not stab all the way down an it sits about 3 1/16 higher than block , it as if oil rod is to long know , has anyone came across this issue before ?

see which way the center of the bottom of your dist. points, then take a long reg screw driver and stick it in the whole that the dist plugs into and turn the oil pump deal so they line up, then try pluging the dist into said hole

Its not like a chevy distributor the has a slot , this 302 has a rod with a hex tapered end on rod side going into distributor.

Do you have the original dist. and can you compare it to the new one to make sure they are exact matches?
