New Weight Jacker arms from Granatelli Motor Sports

New Weight Jacker arms from Granatelli Motor Sports

OK - a lot of good has been said about the Granatelli Weight Jackers – Most has been done so in various forms of positive posts, snide comments and others - The end result is always the same - mostly very happy customers going very fast when tuned right - Both the engine and the chassis. In an effort to bring everyone the latest and best technology available, we are now offering a revised “upgraded if you will” version of the GMCA7998WJ control arms – the new part number just adds a –X.

GMCA7998WJ-X

Here are the updates

As you can see they still look very much the same. The big changes are as follows:

- Delran bushings on the chassis side are standard

- We changed out the bearing design for a more traditional rebuildable joint that offers a bit more articulation and at the same time gets rid of a small amount of road chatter

- We went to a full thread body where the spring height adjustment is made to increase shaft stability
- We upgraded the adjustment shaft from standard 6061 to high tensile strength carbon steel and graphite impregnated it - this makes adjustments smoother than ever
NOTE TOP PIC - original design is blue anodized and the new design is carbon steel that feels super slippery

i'm looking to purchase a set from jegs for 199.99 but was wondering if i'll be getting the new version from them or the old version. i also checked your website to see which part was listed but it only shows the part number for the old version. is there a price difference between the old/new version and if i get them directly from you or from jegs?

GMCA7998WJ-X (aka GMCA7999WJ) does cost more - $225.00

They are both great parts - what is your specific application street or race
