Does anybody have Mac headers and Mac o/r h pipe setup? I just ordered that setup and was wondering what opinions you guys have.

 

My friend had mac long tube headers, bbk or h pipe and mac mufflers on his 90 lx 5.0 and it was one sick(good) sounding mustang!!

 

I too had the same set up on my 02 gt minus the headers and it was raspy but sounded very good

 

They aren't too bad. I'm not a huge fan of mac headers mostly due to the individual flange set up vs the one piece. They tend to leak and once they heat cycle and are removed they are pia to line back up to each port.

 

I'm on the market for an exhaust system, headers and all. I've always been a flowmaster fan, but this time I want something that sounds throaty on the outside, but not gonna deafen my wife on cruise nite. Any suggestions?

 

Ford racing coated headers are the best bang for the buck headers out there. Magnaflow makes a nice system with a nice tone that is a little more mellow but still nice sounding. most stuff will have some drone. A bbk mid pipe or even the mac is fine. other header option are bbk, mac like above but the chrome and uncoated headers will rust. I have JBA headers but they are costly over the others and the shorties are harder to find now.
