loosening bolts off exhaust

Do you know roughly how long it takes for it to cool down before you can touch it?

Do you think it would be OK to spray a little lubricant (i.e. PB Blaster, liquid wrench etc.) on it after it has been heated up to help loosen it further?

I would think it would cool it down but then on the other hand maybe if the nut was hot the pb would be able to seep in there quicker. Just don't inhale the smoke
