Anyone know where I can get a driver seat that will fit my '90 mustang LX for a decent price?

Need one in good shape that has a properly working reclining mechanism. I'm not too worried about the upholstry condition because I can just switch with the upholstry on my current seat.

The reclining mechanism on my current seat is broken and the back of the seat will not stay upright. It's annoying, I have to use a couple pillows to support my back.

Any info will be appreciated.
Thanks

p.s. Is a 2.3 turbo engine from an svo or t-bird interchangeable with my '90 2.3 mustang? i.e. Will a complete 2.3 turbo drop in my car w/o any other major changes?

chect www.50resto.com for parts for late model mustangs. pm svopaul for info on the 2.3L turbo motors. i figure it will bolt in fine and probably just a computer chip, or change the entire computer as far as wiring differences

Thanks conv stang. I've known about 50resto, and the APC seats they sell are about my price range for decent seats. As APC a good brand? I was basicaly trying to find an actual mustang seat, but some of these aftermarket ones seem to be nicer. I think for now i'll switch my driver/passenger seats around and just deal with the levers being on the wrong side untill I can save the $ for new seats.

is it just the right side twisting back on the seat or is the whole back broke if its just the right side twisting u can take it apart and have the spot welds re welded mine was that way and i drove many others that way too the factory welds tear out pretty easily

It's the whole seat. The back is almost entirely touching the rear seats, and it will not stay in it's upright position. So you say the problem might not be the reclining mechanism, and that it could be the seat frame? Can both sides be welded, or even have small braces welded in? Thanks to everyone for thier input!

Any salavage yards close by? I would figure they should have plenty to chose from.

yea i've been to 1 local scrap yard and all they had were 2 foxes and, to no surprise, they were stripped to the bone. There are a couple other local yards I can look in, but for now I switched the driver/passenger seats around. $ is tight now so i'll havta wait till next summer. Thanks to everyone for your input/ideas!

They're very hard to find, i had the chance to find 2(driver and passenger) used black ones from a '91LX, i got them for $100cdn with power lumbar, they were like new, the guy exchanged them to Recaro seats....The bad news is that they're still in my car!
