I was checking out the DSS Racing 306 Long blocks and they seems like they are pretty well built and they are advertising that they are dependable mid to low 10 second engines. I have never talked to anyone who actually had any experience with them. Ive heard from another company that they arent built as well as they say that they are. I dont trust anybodys word unless they have delt with them first hand. Anyone have any comments on DSS Racing? Thanks in advance!

D.S.S. racing makes a great engine, but for a consistant 10 sec car I think I would step up to a Dart or Sportsman block instead of the Level 10/20 stock block. The bearing cap girdle is great but all it will do is hold the rotating assembly together when the engine lets go. I would Trust their base bullet into the low 12 high 11's. The stock block has a tendancy to split along the top, in the middle of the lifter valley, so the girdle will not do much to prevent that.

Just my .02 though.
