Front cover on the GT has pock marks and road rash on the paint. It also has a cracked area on the passenger.
Can the covers be sand blasted? Most of what I've read talks about sanding the covers, but I'm wondering how to get the paint out of the lettering areas of the ground effects and rear cover? Paint stripper is pretty darn caustic..
And surely, sanding is pretty labor intense.
Has anybody ever tried blasting urethane covers ? Or am I doomed to sand...

go to your local auto body supply
get 2 cans of urathane bumper stripper made by SEM
follow directions on the car you will have it stripped in an hour tops
when your done wash the bumper with some commet and hit it with a red scotch bright to scuff the serface

Thanks for the reply. I DA sanded the rear cover this weekend with 120 grit. It had been painted the color of the body, and the paint/top coat would crack/spider web when you pushed on it from the inside. I'm pondering whether to paint it titanium as was orginal, or go with body color. Decisions, decisions....

I plan on giving the bumper stripper a try on the front...when its off the car. I had heard that it causes the urethane to swell, but shrinks back when dry.

it will only swell if you use the wrong stripper (lauqure based SP?) if you get the SEM stuff it is made spacifically for urathane bumpers and wont swell it
