3.73 gears thats was my first upgrade and that messed with all my gauges so im guessing 130,000 on the motor still runs strong. Oh and street car with once a year runn down the track.... We do a bragging rights drag at the airport once a year... Good times..

Nice. When you put gears In you have to buy a new speedo gear. It hooks to a cable In the transmission. Takes about 15 minuets. That will fix you speedometer if Thad what you were saying is messed up.

Nice. Back to your question.. gt 40 or cobra upper and lower intake.. Would go nice. Maybe a 65 mm throttle body. With some good flowing exhaust would free up some power. Also when you start putting mods on your car a lot of people don't realize how much drag your the stock clutch fan creates. Through an electric fan on there as well.

You can do a little at a time. I'd do the heads and rockers at the same time. You want to try and match the cam and the rockers... If you a cam you should absolutely change the timing chain. If you have 3.73 gears ford racing cams are good high end cams.. You'll want that since your car wraps out fast.

Well the explorer intake is the same basic design as the cobra. If you are going to install a cam I would put new lifters in and change them when you do the heads. I run an e-cam in mine and it does fine. You also do not need to have it tuned, but it will help you get the most out of that combo.

Are they GT40 or GT40p? If they are gt40p you will need diffrent headers.

I was going to put some GT40 heads on my car with a cam and the mechanic said he would not even do it due to the amount of work to only gain few horsepower. He will not do any upgrade unless 50 an above. He told me to buy AFR 165 heads and they bolt straight on with a trick flow stage one cam and with the mods I already have would be over 100 horse added. Probably not at the wheels but that is what I am doing. Just my insight take it for what it Is worth for u.
