Post Fuel Pump Relay Location

Hello;

New member today. Happy to join and hope someone can help me. I recently acquired a 1987 Mustang GT 5.0L Convertible with 5 speed manual transmission. Vehicle is original, except for a new paint job. Odometer reads about 84K miles and is original(I know the original owner). It has been garaged and idle for about 12 years. It ran when put away. I've been trying to get it going and have realized that there's a fuel issue. There is gas in the tank. When I spray a shot of starting fluid into the throttle body, it starts right up. I don't hear the fuel pump running when I turn the key on. You Tube videos all say that the likely cause is the fuel pump relay. They further say that the relay is under the driver's seat. That's where my problem lies. The only thing under my driver's seat is what appears to be the wiring for the power lumbar support. Am I missing something? Is there another location for the relay? Is there another probable cause for the problem. Getting desperate. Sure could use some pointers. Send all suggestions to peter_jeskey@yahoo.com, and thanks so much.

12 Year Old Gas is Going to Be a Major Issue! I would not attempt to run it with that. If it were mine I would pull tank and have flushed. The Lines are Likely Plugged as well! There are a Lot of things that will need to be addressed to make her road worthy again. You are On Step 1. Search for {bringing a car out of long term storage}

Welcome, Congrats on the New Ride!

Your Post is a Combination of Intro & I need Help Post so I moved you to Fox Bodies where more folks can give you the best help!
