Front seats

So I was noticing (after yrs of having) the front seat middle piece kinda moves? Like seems it can be adjusted? Idk... dont want to force it tho...so question is... is it really suppose to? If so how?
Want further info so I dont go playin with it & breakin something

If it's a fox body GT the front part of the seat did move forward and back for adjustment. As to how far that I cannot answer.

I think they are supposed to move some and adjust but I haven't seen any that actually stay where you put them. The fox seats sucked. Best bet is to get a set of aftermarket seats put in that you like and get an upholstery shop to match the rear.

the mustang I got last night is what made me noticed...when i sat in it felt totally different. So as Im looking as to why...I noticed. Looked on my other cars & same! Yet felt dif when sitting in em...So I was wondering is the new car normal (more comfy) & my others broke/worn? Idk...

They are all gonna feel different. Just depends what size butt has been in them for the last 20 years.

Ok so FYI i figured it out!
That piece actually pulls outward, kinda like a recliner.
I guess its helpful for someone tall

Ah yes the sport seat.

I believe that piece is technically called a knee bolster.
