I'm converting a 88 Mustang Gt to carb, and I have a question about the distributor. I'm pulling out the factory distributor tomorrow to replace with a vacuum advance carb. What's the best way to find TDC before pulling the factory dist. out and putting in the new one. I'm not quite sure how to find TDC and the #1 port on the new distributor?

pull number one spark plug. Hold your thumb over the hole and have someone bump/turn the engine over untill you feel compression. Then use a socket on the harmonic balancer bolt to turn the engine over untill the timing marks are lined up.
