changed out the tps,is there suppose to be tention on the inside turning part?

changed out the tps,is there suppose to be tention on the inside turning part?
like when i put it on it didnt slip right on i had to turn it abit for it to go on . is that ok?

well there is supposed to be a little pressure...that is made to be in a particular position...if you move it around in different angles the car will idle differently...
