Brakes
So after driving my '06 Mustang and then back to my '91 the main thing I miss are the brakes.
There are a lot of differences between the two, but the brakes on my '91 are just not doing it.
Now I'm not sure if it's just a brake bleed that I need to get done, resurfacing, or what, but the car just doesn't really STOP when I hit the brakes.
Is this just the way the Fox brakes perform? Should I look into upgrading the brakes? And if so what would you guys suggest?

stock fox brake technology is 19 years old, so they certainly aren't going to perform like modern systems even if pads/rotors/fluid are replaced.
Aftermarket brake kits are expensive(!) If you have around 2000 dollars to spend you can get some seriously awesome stuff from SSBC, Baer, Brembo, Stop Tech, and I'm sure theres a few others too. To run 13 inch rotors which are the norm with those kits you will need to get at least 17 inch wheels.
If you just want to spruce up the stock system a little you can get Hawk Performance street pads for around 60 bucks and powerslot slotted rotors (in stock diameter) for about 100 bucks each. I read somewhere that stainless steel brake lines will help firm up the brake pedal too, but I don't know about that.
So it all depends on how much you want to stop and how much money you want to spend, because besides needing bigger wheels, some of those brake kits require 5 lug conversions.

The breaks on the fox are definatly not as good as the '06 even at their peak. For one, the fox doesn't have disk breaks all the way around. I would say if you want a cheap fix turn the rear drums and replace the shoes and then do new rotors and pads on the front. If you want more than that it is going to get expensive but you can upgrade to disk breaks in the back.
