The 5 lug drum conversion is nothing more than Ranger drums and 2 Ranger axles of the same side(I believe RH side)...it is a Ford Motorsport kit and available from any parts vendor that carries Ford Racing parts. Parkway Ford might be your best bet if you want new or you can go junkyard hunting.

Rear disc conversion is not hard either but will widen your mounting track by 1" on each side. Any Lincoln Mark VII has the 5 lug disc parts you need or if you want 4 lug like the '93 Cobra then get 87-88 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe rear parts(same as the Cobra). You do not need an expensive Proportioning valve either...simply get the right master cylinder (Mustang SVO or '93 Cobra) and run your front lines straight to the calipers and install a $40 adjustable proportioning valve in the rear line so you can adjust your brake bias and tune in the brakes.....Done! Your hardest part is bending and flaring brake lines if you've never done it.

The SSP Mustangs had rear 4 lug drum brakes just like every other 5.0.

There were no changes for the SSP Mustangs. The suspension was the same as every other 5.0 Mustang. The differences were in oil coolers, clutch fans, silicone hoses, ground straps, etc.

Well only 2 really classify as "SSP" Mustangs...the '96 was just a GT that was used as one but the SSP designation was dropped in '94 and Ford no longer offered that option.

You don't see many Michigan SSP's around....

cool, I think this thread can be closed now, I've decided that I will NOT put a body kit on my coupe... I'll make a new thread with pics of it once this one is closed.
