Best deal on wheels and tires I will ever get..
Recently, I have been doing alot of work on my Mustang, especially since my buddy recently moved back here in Rhode Island after graduating from WyoTech. The past month or so we have been doing alot of work to his '92 5.0, and weirdly enough ran into an old friend who is leaving for Iraq and wanted to dump a set of pony wheels with tires for only $200....being the skeptic that I am, I did'nt think they would be in that great of condition, but I wanted to replace my stock turbines. So, yesterday I went to the guys house, and was very surprised to see the condition of the wheels and tires were almost new. The rears have Goodyear Eagle Super Grips on them (still have the stubs on them) and the front wheels had Toyo Proxes FZ-4's on them, almost new as well. I thought the wheels would be scratched and the tires would be bald, I couldn't believe he wanted to sell these wheels and tires for so cheap, but after listening to him tell me and my buddy how he just sold his black 03 cobra for 15k (40k miles)
, I guess he just doesn't care...
I attached some photos of before and after pictures...I also replaced the headlights ($100- Mustangs Unltd), repainted the trim and buffed the entire car then waxed it four times....What a difference three hundred dollars makes

Wow, it looks really good!

Thanks for the compliments everyone!!
I bought this 88 after selling my 87...I am the second owner, the original owner was a friend of my dads who used it as a daily driver, completely stock. The guys wife thought the car was too loud and never wanted to drive in it. About a year ago me and my old man were at the guys house, it was sitting in the yard, I asked him about it, and he sold it to me for a little more than what I got for my 87...

Niice! I'm a big fan of the "Ponys" and think they are the best looking wheel Ford ever used on a Fox Mustang (considering the other ones look blah in comparison). LOL, if I could, I would have jumped all over that '03 Terminator, especially if it was in as great shape as your wheels/tires... congrats on the great deal you got.

i dont really like any of the five lug wheels, so thats why I have not converted to five from four...I had priced out pony wheels and tires liek these brand new, and draglites, so to get this deal saved me nine hundred dollars in my mind.

Want to keep the stock style center caps though. Hopefully plan to do this in the future if they can clear the FRPP Cobra brake conversion kit calipers. Well... have to get that kit first.
Oh, but they ARE available in 17-inch 4 and 5 lug styles and different widths! http://www.ponyr.com/17_sizes.htm

If I were you, I would look at the painted silver wheels...my buddy has a 92 GT he had painted the calypso green and put on silver FRPP 17'' cobra wheels with nitto 555's... looked really nice
yeah, i had considered chrome ponies, but I don't want my car to be too flashy...where I live, if you drive down the road at night in a Mustang, it seems as though every seventeen year old kid wants to race at every traffic light. it doesn't bother me, but I have to hear my girlfriend complain about it
