Exclamation AHHH Help!

I'm trying to remove my T-Handle shift **** on my 89 Mustang Auto. All I can find is information on how to remove the whole assembly and I don't need that. What I want is just how to remove the shift ****. I've looked at it over and over and I can't seem to find any screws or anything. Pleeese help! Thanks.

I just tried that it didn't work. It must be held in by some screws somewhere.

He is right....you just pull but it takes some effort as there is a circular snap clip type fitting that secures it. You need to push in the button and pull straight up on it....might help if you have the E-brake on and the car in 1st gear while sitting in the back seat.

I have had many times when manually shifting the car at the track that I pull the handle off that way....not recommended though .

But there are NO screws at all...the above description is simply how it is done

I got it off, it was suprisingly easy. I just wasn't getting the right kind of leverage. I was first trying to pull it off from the driver seat, I replaced it with a nicer handle. Thanks again!
